Tom Ford Opens First London Store.

The luxury fashion label , opened the doors of it's first stand alone store at the Knightsbridge end Sloane street London. The Fashion brand who has avid wearers such as Jay Z, Justin Timberlake and Daniel Craig ( and we all know these guys are very stylish), settled in quite nicely across the road from Dolce and Gabbana .  I also understand the men's skincare collection is coming up in November, so if you are up for that, feel free to pop in. It's also the sole place you can smell 'Private Blend London', the new fragrance exclusively available at the store.

Embrace Your Style Even In Preganacy.

In a month where we welcome the Royal baby, there is no better time to talk about how to look good when you are heavy. Being Heavily pregnant is no excuse to ditch your style or stop looking good.

When it comes to dressing during pregnancy, comfort and style are key. It doesn’t matter if you decide to wear skin-tight clothes to show off your stomach or hide it with flowy tops. You should stay true to whatever style you usually wear. Some ladies love to show off their bumps and some prefer to hide it, so which ever you prefer, its always important to look radiant in it, so from casual chick to red carpet ready, it's necessary to look good in your pregnancy. So here's a few tips and looks to keep in mind as you get along with the best 9 months of your life.

1. Love your bump!

2. For some ladies who would like to show off bumps, a comfy but well-fitting T-shirts, dresses or gowns. Avoid oversized gowns so you don’t look frumpy. Sleek and close fitting is more flattering. Hip jackets still make you look polished and fresh

For ladies who prefer to hide the bump, Stick with gowns that flow over belly, hips, and thighs that can hide the few pounds you may gain in the first months also Wear soft knits, A-line skirts, wrap shirts and dresses.

3. For many women, pregnancy brings the blessing of a fabulous cleavage. I say, flaunt it! There’s no reason not to enjoy having the breasts you’ve always wanted.

4. Stylish sandals or flats shoes. While I recommend heels for a bit of sexiness, you will still need a selection of fashionable and comfortable flats. Build a flat shoe collection to last you the nine months. Choose an embellished pair, a chic ballet shoe, one in gladiator style. You will be surprised at how many looks you are able to conjure with the same clothes by merely a switch in shoes.

5. Accessorise!!! A pair of eye-catching dangling earrings draw attention to your face. A beautiful bold piece of necklace is always going to be an attraction and  classy pair of bangles will make you look current. Stick to intricate but delicate accessories.

6. Don't forget to eat healthy and do very light workouts and exercises.

Enjoy your 9 months of bliss and look as best as you can.

Invest In Your Wardrobe and Distinguish Your Wardrobe From Others.

Like i said somewhere along my write ups, people make decisions based on your appearance within few seconds. They always tend to conclude on these decisions.

1. Your economic level
2. Your educational level
3. Your trustworthiness
4. Your social position
5. Your level of sophistication
6. Your educational heritage
7. Your social heritage
8. Your success
9. Your moral character

These decisions may not be right but they have already made them, which is why it's important to inevest in your wardrobe.

The things that will comprise your wardrobe will vary depending on your tastes and lifestyle, so keep that in mind as you read this post. Some of the things I may recommend splurging on may be things you would never or rarely wear, in which case feel free to skip to the next point. Another thing to remember is that definitions of what constitutes a “Splurge” can be wildly different. I always recommend that you spend no more than what you (and your bank account) are comfortable with, recognizing that most people have certain price limits in mind when it comes to various categories of wears.

1. Handbags:  For the ladies, the number one splurge I find completely justifiable is designer handbags.  I think the handbag section of every wardrobe should have 80% designer handbags. The quality you get with a designer handbag is much greater.  A well-made leather bag will last you for years. A  good designer bag, will make any outfit look expensive. You could be wearing a very cheap outfit but the moment you pair it with a designer bag like Chanel, no one will notice.

2.Shoes: These are another very important items for your wardrobe but i think you should definitely have a good balance of BOTH cheap shoes and expensive (quality) shoes. Sometimes you may be out to certain kind of places and you may need shoes that can take the harsh conditions.

3. Watches and Classic jewelry; Watches are items that every wardrobe should have. You should splurge on at least one  very good classy and quality watch that will make a statement of style. Watches are good everyday expensive-wear item. A classy Jewelry should also be among your your must haves. Some events are not Cheap Jewelry approved.

4. Jeans: The reason why should be an important part of your wardrobe is that it never goes out of fashion. You should all have a decent amout of quality jeans the casual outings.

5. Suits and Ties: There's nothing as good as having a fitting quality suit. Suits are very elegant and can transform any average looking person to a handsome rogue. They are just awesome weather it is a blazer or a tuxedo. It's a must have to splurge on a very good one. It just makes you look classy.
One of the first things people look out for when you wear a suit is your 'Tie' so you have to invest in a very good collection of ties.

Distinguish Your Wardrobe From Others

Simply wearing stylish clothing won’t distinguish your image from the next person. The real opportunity to stand out lies in the way you apply details and accessories. If you place more emphasis on these items no one will be able to pull off looks as well as you. To help you get off to a good start we highlighted a few accessories you can modify to own your look.

Pocket squares: For the men and even some women don’t be afraid to wear pocket squares with bold colours and patterns and learn the various ways a pocket square can be folded to fit into your personal style. Add a sophisticated pocket square to your blazer or suit to refine your look.

Scarfs: Scarfs can be worn in summer and even winter so adding it to your style and unique look is based on how you wrap it around you. discover your own way to rock it.

Tie clips and cufflinks; Need I say more? You just look classy with your unique tie clip  and cuffs.

If you’ve ever stood in front of your closet and thought, “I have nothing to wear,” then you’ve got to give me a call.

Who Came Out Best At The BET Awards 2013? My View.

After looking through and accessing all the looks of the female celebrities on the red carpet which you all may have seen by now, i came to a conclusion and picked the best.
She may not be my cup of tea nor one's but for me , Nicki Minaj was the best dressed female celebrity at the recently concluded BET awards 2013.

She was Spotting a platinum-blonde hair do perfectly matched with a black Roberto Cavalli gown. Her black lace gown featured shredded leather panels at the waist which brought out the best out of her figure and fitted perfectly. Even though it showed a lot of Cleavage, it was a surprisingly toned down look for the usually over the top diva.

I am quite surprised saying to myself that she was the best dressed female of the night undoubtedly but i definitely give it to her!

You want this look? Just Contact me.

This year on the BET awards was appalling the way the celebrities came out dressed but we could still pick out a few who came out well. After browsing and scrutinizing, I have concluded that Terence Jenkins was actually the best dressed male Celeb on the night.

There were some other celebs who quite came close to Nicki and Terrence on the night. Justin Timberlake and Gabriella Union also came out looking dapper. Justin was wearing an all black Tom Ford suit and Gabriella was looking effortlessly sexy in a Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2013 red strapless cocktail dress with her hair side parted and tumbling down her back, she wore drop earrings, several rings and a pair of black platform sandals to complete her look.

Who in your opinion was the best dressed?  Let me know.

What Is the Best Appearance For A Job Interview? How to Dress..

Today am inspired to talk about how to look when going for a job interview. When you are dressing for a job interview, image really is everything (or most of it). The image you present to a potential employer is the first thing they are going to notice about you before you even have a chance to say a word or shake a hand. Knowing what to wear on a job interview is half the battle of the interview itself. There's an old adage that says, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” A lot of people have the slightest idea of how to represent themselves at a job interview. Your appearance plays a huge role on wether you get hired or not.  Here's a few tips.

1.  It's important to check out the culture of the company you are interviewing with and dress accordingly. There are some companies where the employees wear suits everyday and others where it's ok to wear T Shirts and jeans.. You probably don’t need to wear a suit and tie to a job interview at a laid back company, but that doesn’t mean you should dress too casually, either. So do a quick research.

2. Stay clear of the Flip-flops or sneakers, Underwear (bras, bra straps, boxers, etc.) that are visible.
Don't wear any underwear that shows even if your bra straps match your top.

Don't wear Skirts that are too short. or Pants that are too low rise or too tight.
Avoid blouses that are too low cut or too short don't show your cleavage or your belly and make sure the top of your thong, if you wear one, doesn't show above your pants.

3. Make sure your clothes that are neatly ironed and pressed. Nothing gives away the lack of attention to detail than a wrinkled clothing.

4. Make sure your clothing fits properly.  Fitted is good, snug is dicey and tight is just wrong.

5. Don’t wear too much perfume, With any type of scent, less, or none, is better.

6. Don’t wear flashy or too much jewelry. This sometimes sends the wrong signals.

7. Wearing socks or hosiery is non-negotiable.  Naked feet or bare legs do not command respect in a business environment.  Save that look for your social time.

8. Shoes tell your inner secrets they are the strongest indicators of your social status.  For business wear, shoe styles must be a closed toe and closed-heel and they must be in clean condition.  Rough heels, scruffy toes, or unpolished footwear scream failure. By the way the heels should not be too high. Classic heels and not trendy heels  are your best bet in this situation.

9. In a previous topic on my blog, i emphasised on importance of posture, body language and how you carry yourself. A Good posture and a solid handshake is important. Your body language is part of your overall appearance, so it’s important that you pay close attention to it.

The most important thing you bring to any interview is confidence. What you wear and how you wear it helps emphasis that. If you aren’t comfortable in your outfit that will come across in your interview. It would be a shame if you were the most qualified candidate for the position but you didn’t even get a second interview because of the way you look. The interviewer has made an initial impression of you in the first few seconds they see you based on how you look. That may not be fair but it is reality in most cases. So always come correct!!
